The end of 2020 is a good time to take stock.
Where are we in people counting? What have we been able to do in electronic article surveillance? What about new offerings like electronic shelf labeling?
Covid-19 was more than a speed breaker for our lives. Yet another black swan event that has tested us no end. Indeed, the year 2020 has been a testimony to the words of A A Milne, “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
At SureSolutions®, we did not allow Covid-19 to stop us beyond the lockdown. Once it was over, we got down to some serious work and completed EAS installations in 200 stores for a clothing major and installed the 300th pedestal for a large retail chain.
In fact, looking back, we can count over 3,000 installations of SureCount® people counting systems and over 2,500 SureCheck® EAS systems across India. With our growing dealer network, we have expanded beyond tier 1 and tier 2 cities and are now doing installations in tier 3 cities as well.
We can only thank our customers for continuing their faith in SureCount® and SureCheck® systems. The cutting technologies behind our people counting (or, footfall counting, as some prefer) and electronic article surveillance are now proven. The SureSolutions® team has responded to customer requirements with alacrity and, together with our technology partners, large brands have chosen our people counting solutions.
Necessity, they say, is the mother of invention and Covid-19 provided the necessary impetus to the innovation that we call SureCount® Automatic Occupancy Control.
Designed for accuracy and fast implementation, the SureCount® Automatic Occupancy Control system helps businesses comply with social distancing and occupancy guidelines by anonymously counting people as they enter and exit any enclosed space in their premises.
The system detects and delivers live occupancy data with visual warnings and alerts when limits are approached or exceeded. Just set the number of people allowed at a time and the SureCount® AOC system does the rest.
The easy-to-read display makes it simple for users to see whether they can enter or not. Once the desired number is reached, entry can be denied until the requisite number of people exit and the SureCount® AOC system shows it is safe to enter once again.
This automatic occupancy control system works independently of existing IT networks and is designed for simple setup and fast installation.
The year has also seen our move into the automobile sector with SureDisplay™ electronic shelf labeling. Just like in the retail arena, electronic shelf labeling allows industries to improve inventory management, asset tracking, and data collection tasks.
We are implementing a SureDisplay™ ESL solution for an international automobile giant in their manufacturing plant in western India. This entails follow up on the delivery process from parts selection to assembly, acting as a digital routing slip for internal transport.
